Leonard is an example of the smart and exciting young adults who benefit from the BCCWA Scholarship awards. Leonard is currently studying at the University of Houston, in a 7-year program/partnership with the University of Texas Medical Branch and the McGovern Medical School. In addition to formal studies, Leonard joined a research team in the Galapagos Islands to carry out environmental conservation research related to endangered species in the region.
Leonard will share with us what he has been doing since graduating from Westwood High School and starting a new life at the University of Houston.
