The Balcones Country Club Women's Association (BCCWA) was founded in 2002, with its first meeting held in September of that year. For some time, many women members of the club had expressed interest in forming an association for all the women club members. In response, the Balcones Country Club Board of Directors invited Loretta Voss to organize the group and serve as its first president and organize the group.
BCCWA was created to provide social and networking opportunities for all club members, including those who do not participate in golf or tennis. The association hosts informative programs and social events that foster fellowship among members and the greater Balcones community.
In 2004, BCCWA members expanded the organization's mission to include philanthropy, focusing on raising funds for educational scholarships. This led to the creation of Market Days, which has since become our annual event to raise funds to award as scholarships to local high school students.

Market Days – Our Premier Scholarship Fundraiser!
Each year, BCCWA members work together to organize and host Market Days, a two-day event held in November at Balcones Country Club. This exciting event is dedicated solely to raising funds for the BCCWA Scholarship Foundation.
What to Expect at Market Days:
Market Days keeps growing each year! In recent years, we've welcomed over 500 attendees, making it one of our most successful events yet! Join us for fun, shopping, and giving back—all while supporting scholarships for deserving students!
Every purchase makes a difference! All proceeds from Market Days directly supports the BCCWA Scholarship Foundation, helping fund scholarships for deserving students.
Supporting Scholarships Beyond Market Days!
In addition to our Market Days fundraiser, we also host a raffle at our monthly events to raise additional funds for scholarships. Thanks to these combined efforts, we were able to award an incredible $40,000 in scholarships to 22 deserving students in 2025! Every ticket purchased and every dollar donated helps us make a lasting impact on students’ futures.
